ORGANIC MEETS THE SYNTHETIC
Somni’s singing and music draw from an eclectic group of influences: the clean, pure vowels of vocal music, the sensual urgency of R&B, and the innovation and texture of electronica, all packaged within the apt simplicity of pop writing. He cites his main influences as: R&B singer Tank, MUSE rocker Matthew Bellamy, and composer/arrangers Claude Debussy, and Gabriel Fauré.
While he is constantly drawing from his roots, Somni’s ear is always towards the future, inspired to speak his mind and heart with fresh words and inspiring sonic landscapes.
